Tomorrow is the first day of spring (woo-hoo!), which may have you thinking about a little seasonal cleaning. It could be your desk drawers, or your department’s common area, or maybe it’s actually your culture that needs some spiffing up.

In my professional life, I have experienced a number of culture/position fit fiascos, only one of which was my own (and one I’d really rather not tell you about). But, I have no problem telling you about some of the ones I’ve witnessed over the years…

In a previous post, I talked about a company one of my friends works for that is struggling to engage its employees in the face of a culture that isn’t necessarily interested in playing along. At the start of 2015, I welcomed my six-year anniversary, which, as I mentioned in a previous post, was a pretty big deal for me. In addition to it being a record as far as job longevity goes, I also got a really sweet anniversary gift.
