Allison is currently living out the elaborate fantasy she described to her now-former staff and colleagues in early 2001. With a hearty dose of courage and absolutely no plan of action, she abruptly left her middle-management job to become a writer—and today she is doing just that in her role as Baudville's Senior Content Writer. She's here to tell you everything she's learned in her 20-years+ professional life, plus a lot more. She's wordy like that!

My Four Favorite Fascinating Finds: Dig This in December!

You know what? December is one heck of a Fickle Frances. On the one hand, it wants to be joyful, peaceful, meaningful, and bountiful, but then it turns around and ends up being a whole bunch of other ‘fuls’, including the worst of the worst: stressful. It has been for me, anyway, which is why this monthly post is coming at the end instead of the middle. It’s also why there are only four finds. And, our top leadership are meeting to decide who will be our Inspire Award Winners—who will also be honored this Friday. Exciting times at the ‘ville!

Six Lessons We Learned in Kindergarten that Still Apply Today

Something not everyone knows is that I got my job here at Baudville thanks in part to an old schoolmate. Not from college or high school, but kindergarten. Crazy, right?

You never know who will be a connection in your life, so it definitely pays to always play nice, doesn't it? We learned that in kindergarten, and, if we actually applied that early lesson in the years that followed, we probably made it pretty far. What else did we learn...?

Five Misconceptions About Employee Recognition

Working in the employee recognition industry, I hear a lot of opinions about the practice. A lot. I'm always surprised when I talk with people who have a long list of reasons why they don't or won't do it in their organizations. Not that I am always right (though, generally, I am), but they have definitely got it all wrong! They say...
