They often urge us to come in every six weeks, yell at us for washing our hair too much or damaging our beautiful locks with styling tools. But overall, their job is to make us beautiful and give us a boost of confidence.

We all know one, a person who seems to keep it all together AND keep cool as a cucumber in the process. Secretaries, assistants, receptionists, whatever you call them at your place of business does not matter. What matters is that they rock – on the daily. 

Today is their day. Say thank you. Get them a coffee, give them a gift, write them a card, send them home early, fill out a free ePraise card for them.

Medical Laboratory Professionals Week is April 20-26, 2014 and I've been doing a little research to learn more about it. It turns out, as a group, they do a great job of promoting the contributions they make behind the scenes in the healthcare industry. They even have a theme: "Rock Your Pride. Pride in yourself, pride in your work, pride in your results."

Hmmm…I think Baudville might have just right appreciation gifts to go with their theme!

"Why? What's wrong with our managers?," you might wonder out loud. Well, there may be nothing, but there may be something and if there is something that something could spell trouble. Today, April 17, 2014, is National High Five Day. When I think about high fives, the first thing that comes to mind is my three little boys at home.My youngest is 2 years old, and one of the first celebratory actions he learned (as did my two older boys) was giving a high five.
