Meet Denise: Resident Datahead, Figure Skating Queen, and World Traveler
What do you do here at Baudville? I am the Customer Acquisition Manager. My main responsibility is determining what non-customers (prospects) to send catalogs to for each of our campaigns. Aside from that I do a lot of analysis on different industries, product categories and, of course, our own marketing efforts.
What is something that none of your co-workers know about you? Don't laugh too hard, I was in the Miss Pre-Teen Michigan Pageant when I was 11. Absolutely shocking.
What was your favorite recognition moment here at the Ville? My favorite recognition moment at the 'Ville is my anniversary. It's nice to be recognized for my loyalty and dedication to the 'Ville. I enjoy having lunch with my manager, the personalized card and the token of appreciation isn't hard to take either.
Who inspires you? The kids in my skating club. They amaze me both as figure skaters and as people. I'm impressed with how, during their tumultuous teen years, they handle themselves with grace in a sport that is not very forgiving. Their work ethic is impressive and every time I am with them I want to be a good role model. They continually inspire me in my own skating and in life.
What's your favorite app and why? Oh my goodness, there are so many to choose from. Let's see, it is football season and baseball playoffs so right now I'll say theScore is my favorite app. I love that I can look up just about any sport, any game and get results, standings, stats and play-by-play commentary.
As a team member since 2005, Falon has worn just about every hat the 'ville has to offer. She's seen both sides of working life — as an employee and as a manager — so if it sounds like she knows what she's talking about, we're pretty sure that's why. When she's not juggling between the IDville and Baudville brands, she's been known to whip up a mean diorama - just like that!
As a writer, I have to say that I'm even more excited about the new titles and verses that are on these bad boys! (Plus, I wrote them. So, you know, I think they're pretty great...)
