Are you at work right now? If so, look around you… Is it possible that two out of every three of your colleagues is, on some level, not engaged? What does lack of engagement look like? Would you know it if you were looking right at it? Sometimes it's obvious, and sometimes it's not.

As Valentine's Day approaches, I'm making sure my best heart socks are clean and my favorite red blouse is pressed and ready so I can adequately express my love for a day of love. I'll be at work for most of that day this year, so I'm also thinking about the best ways to celebrate without encroaching on my coworkers' personal space. Air hugs only, Allison. Air hugs.

I do really love my coworkers, though, so if I can't give everyone a big ol' squeeze, how can I appropriately show them some affection? Here's what I've come up with…

Awww, it's not his fault, folks! And, your weatherpersons are not to blame either. So, while you may feel some hostility toward the messengers of more muckiness ahead, maybe you should send a warm message of appreciation instead.
