As I mentioned in a previous post, I am on a mission to lose 15 pounds by January 1st. So, for partly selfish reasons, but also because I believe it will help others as well, I am making November's Five Favorite Fascinating Finds post all about health and wellness. Knowledge is power, and each of these articles provided me with a powerful a-ha moment!

Don't forget that today is World Kindness Day! What better time than the present to sprinkle a little kindness dust on the people around you? Give a stranger a warm smile, buy someone's coffee, bring in donuts, or help a friend or neighbor with a project. 

Oh, feedback. Sometimes we ask for it, because we need to be convinced that our fanny does not look big in this skirt, even though it kind of does. And, sometimes we don't ask for it, but get it, and think: who asked you, anyway?!

Whether you're on the giving or receiving end of providing feedback—we're talking about negative feedback, here, by the way—it's not an easy place to be. If you're the giver, you can make it better for everyone by avoiding these feedback pitfalls.

Some days I swear no matter what I do, I just can't seem to get it together. It's like I should have known it was going to be an off day before I even got out of bed! And lately with the chilly weather that's common in Michigan around this time, I really am searching for ways to brighten my day! Luckily I work with super great people that are always looking out for me. I've found that even the littlest gestures can go a long way for me and the people around me. Whether I am having an off day, or a horrible no good very bad day, my co-workers have my back. It creates a positive and encouraging culture I enjoy being around.

Who doesn't love a little recognition for a job well done?! Of course there are those of us who love our recognition to be a little more under the radar than others, but everyone loves to be told thank you, good job, or you make a difference.
