Being the 'ville's social media guru requires me to follow quite a few blogs so that I can stay informed about the happenings of the business world. Lately, I have been noticing a trend. A word keeps reappearing in blog headlines from all different sources: millennials. I actually even received a blog from Fast ompany yesterday morning titled, "Why the Most Successful Organizations Have Millennials in Charge". 

IDville, affectionately known as Baudville's little brother, is growing up. Today he celebrates his 12th birthday… He's officially a pre-teen, or tween, as the kids nowadays prefer to be called.

Just like other 12-year-olds, IDville is coming into his own. He's finding out what he's really good at: providing companies with simple solutions to create and print their ID cards in house. He's branching out and trying new things with his growing confidence: all-encompassing meeting supplies, school visitor security solutions, and completely customizable office signage. And just like his big sister, Baudville, he values stellar customer service, quick turnaround, and lifetime software support.

In Michigan, we are blessed with super-great summers (usually), where you can find families soaking up the sun on the beaches all over the state. I love spending my summer weekends on the lake! If you ever get a chance to visit Michigan, I recommend doing so in the summer time—it's gorgeous!

About 50 miles west of Baudville is a town called Grand Haven or, during the summer months, "Coast Guard City, USA." Every year, Grand Haven hosts the Coast Guard Festival , which is a ten-day event to honor members of the US Coast Guard. Over 340,000 attend the festivities that include parades, a carnival, ship tours, fireworks, and more!

Our Show Us What You've Got Summer Facebook contest wrapped up yesterday. July's winner was the Van Andel Institute, a local company based in Grand Rapids, MI, that uses biomedical research to improve the lives of many people struggling with illnesses such as cancer and Parkinson's disease.
