The 5/3 Riverbank Run is only 3 days away and all 30 of the ‘ville’s participants are getting pumped up! We have been training hard, sharing running tips and have attended a Good Form Running Clinic put on by the Conductive Learning Center and Gazelle Sports.
Each individual runner has also put in some final outstanding efforts to gather more donations for Team CLC. Since my last blog post about the Riverbank Run, Team Baudville has raised $5,126.00! That money will help children with motor disabilities have the chance experience the life-changing Conductive Education program. We are so happy to have the chance to help such a great cause!
Well, this is exciting! I just learned of a recent Congressional Resolution that officially supports National Nurse's Week, which is May 6-12 every year!
Don't forget, this week is Teacher Appreciation Week! Be sure to take some time out of your day to do something special for the educators in your life!
On April 21, in an undisclosed year in the 20th Century, I turned 21. My roommates threw a big shindig for me, which they cleverly called the Bearthday Party, combining the festivities of a milestone birthday with the commemoration of Earth Day, April 22. We were a clan of new bohemians who did things that weren't as common back then as they are now, like composting and recycling; tree hugging and rainbow gazing. So, this holiday was right in line with our lifestyle and a good reason to celebrate for 48 hours straight.
Hello, it's me again! I know you just heard from me the other day, but it is Cinco de Mayo on Monday and to me, that means it's time to share one of the greatest dishes of my childhood and still to this day.
