Excuses, excuses! There are always a lot of them when it comes to neglecting employee recognition. “I don’t know what to do.” Or, “I don’t have the budget.” Or, the whopper with fries and a shake: “I don’t have time.”

Bruce did it. Kim did it. So did Kelli. And Laura. But guess what? Recognition isn’t only for managers to give! At the ‘Ville, peer-to-peer recognition is just as big of a thing!

If you follow Baudville on social media, you know by now that when there’s any reason to observe uncommon holidays, we're the ones to do it! Yesterday, we rolled up our sleeves, concentrated on the elbow, and gave out high fives all day long in celebration of National High Five Day! 

Imagine presenting an award as a recognition effort in front of the entire company, only to find your employee breaking out in a nervous sweat, acting uncomfortable, and privately holding it against you? Chances are, your good deed turns into a negative experience for the reciever and leaves you questioning your actions.

Wednesday, April 22nd is Administrative Professionals' Day (also known as Secretaries Day or Admin Day.) A special day set aside to recognize the work of secretaries, administrative assistants, receptionists, and other administrative support professionals.  These are the professionals who go above and beyond every day: planning, organizing, leading, and directing are just some of the roles an Administrative Professional takes part in.
